Flea market junkies!

Have had this bedspread for more than a year now and have never remembered to use it on occasions as I'd thought while buying. We picked it up at the Anjuna Flea market in the November of 2010, an afternoon worth a thousand visits, as for the first time we were baptizing our 3 yr old son into what we both secretly love - be it a bit bohemian, bit gypsyish - to 'just be', soak in the smokes & sounds of a Hippies life, even if it is just half a day away from the sanctuary of a five star hotel stay!

So today with the sun streaming into my bedroom I remembered this small buy and just had to spread it on without any trimmings and here's what I got

and a peek at the sights & sounds of a local bar by the Anjuna coast, where we spent a whole afternoon - the Hippies revel in it still!

Colors of the glass

Have been very preoccupied (with life mostly) and am unable to bring all of myself to post; but hey there's always those lovely memories of some inspiration, some beautiful touches, some colors & shades spotted somewhere and I think, these blank periods can certainly do with some livening up with those moments 'frozen' in time?!

By the time I'm sharing this special one of the sunlight filtering in through the cane-woven blinds, am feeling much lighter & lit-up, literally

Who's coming to tea...

and I realise that the theme is so timeless that I have to end with 'to be continued'... Love & thank you for listening in!

White and contemporary!

My Singapore stay was special in that my home reflected a lot of what I wouldn't have been able to do in India. The white sofas, the very contemporary, modern apartment blended beautifully with my traditional wooden furniture from India. and yes Buddha entered by home in a major way!

It's magical how about a year before moving to Singapore I'd started craving (pregnancy induced) for white interiors, evincing a very specific wish for a white upholstered sofa seating in my living room, which, of course, became a frequent topic of banter between Narayan, our friends and me and the fact that Narayan owed it to fulfill my wish.

And it all fell into place!

Echoes of my own mind, quite magically

One blog I religiously follow http://www.onceuponateatime.blogspot.com, quite magically posted these precise, beautiful yet whisperingly familiar lines from http://www.serenaandlily.com, of their Spring 2012 collection.
Just so seamlessly encompassing the essence of what crazy people like us feel about the beauty that we see and collect and why we do what we do!
